Thanksgiving 2010
It's been quite a while since I was at the Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, especially since I've been living in the Chicago area for the past three Thanksgivings. Here are some memories of parades past.
Though we're engaged in two wars and the economy is still in a shambles, business continues to be lackluster at best (for photographers, anyway) and a lot of Americans are without jobs altogether, there is still a lot to be thankful for. Spend the day reflecting on the goodness of family and friends, your good health and the many small blessings we still enjoy.
This evening we'll once again be enjoying a special meal. I don't know exactly what's on the menu for dinner tonight but I know what was on my shopping list... Ducks, Parsnips, Onions, Brussels Sprouts, Celery, Cornbread, Apple Cider, Yams, Pineapple, Apple Pie.
