What Time Is It When An Elephant Sits On Your Fence?

About a month ago my watch died on me.  It was an auspicious occasion as it's the only watch I'd ever purchased.  You see, my dad was a watchmaker, and he'd always kept me in timepieces, but when he passed away in the summer of 2007 I was on my own, watch-wise, for the first time as a grown man.

I'd purchased a Citizen Eco-Drive, a solar powered watch and it lasted a good eleven years without so much as a hint of trouble, but alas.

This time around, I went for a "smart" watch, a Samsung Gear S3 Frontier, which I like very much.  One of the things I like about it is that it synchs to my iPhone and so I get text messages directly to my wrist.

Of course, when my ADT security system wants to message me I get those messages sent to my wristwatch.  One morning a few weeks ago my neighborhood lost power due to a snow storm and so my ADT Pulse system let me know that there was a problem.  As it happens I was home at the time, and the outage was just a few minutes.  Had I been traveling, had it been a longer duration, this would have been some very important information to know.

If you have ADT Pulse IS but don't know how to set-up alert messages you can visit the help menu in the Pulse portal.  If you're one of my clients you can call me and I'll walk you through it.  If you'd like to learn more about the benefits of an interactive security program call me on (201) 306-8250 and I'll be happy to get you set-up.
