Happy "Alexa Day"

Earlier this year I told you about an exciting new partnership with Amazon that would soon allow ADT Pulse customers the ability to arm and disarm their security systems by simply asking Alexa: the voice behind Amazon’s Echo and Echo Dot voice-command products. 

Well, I’m happy to say, “Alexa, it’s time to celebrate!”

Beginning today, ADT Pulse customers can now integrate their security and automation platforms with Alexa. In addition, on May 3 we’ll have Amazon Echo and Echo Dot devices available directly to consumers nationwide! This is the perfect example of people and technology coming together to ensure our customer’s smart home is a safe home.  

ADT Pulse customers can also ask Alexa to turn on the lights, lock and unlock the door, and provide the status of their home security system and automation devices. Most notably, ADT will be the first national security provider to allow customers to disarm their system with voice command and a secure PIN! Another fantastic differentiator for our company.

To mark this achievement, Friday, April 28 has officially been dubbed “Alexa Day” across ADT.  I guess it won't be long before Hallmark starts selling "Alexa Day" cards.
